Africana fefeworwor Dance Ensemble

Africana Fefeworwor Dance Ensemble is a cultural group based at C.Y.C.C., a community youth and cultural center. Officially founded in 1991 by the now late Mawutor Akpobi, Africana has remained one of the foremost cultural groups celebrating, preserving and continuing the diverse cultural traditions of music and dance in Ghana and greater West Africa. Africana maintains a vast repertoire of creative and traditional dances.

Tragically, Mawutor passed away in 2012, due to kidney failure. Since then, the group has been led by founding member Agbeko DeSouza. A.F.D.E  continues to perform for a multitude of corporate and private events, including state and local programs, festivals, hotels, funerals, outdooring ceremonies, engagements and weddings.
